Papaya Global EOR: starting fees and small-team quote questions

Understand the published EOR starting fee, then check the full proposal for your first employees in Latin America.

Research edition · Reviewed September 15, 2026

Start with the right service

For a US team hiring an employee in Latin America, ask for an employer-of-record proposal for the exact country and role. Papaya Global lists EOR separately from payroll and contractor services. Comparing a payroll-only price with an EOR fee would produce a misleading budget.

Published EOR starting fee

From $499 per employee per month. This is the USD starting fee shown on Papaya Global’s official pricing page, reviewed September 15, 2026. Obtain a written country-specific quote before budgeting a hire.

What the starting fee means for a small team

Service-fee arithmetic using the $499 monthly starting figure
EmployeesMonthly equivalent12-month equivalent
1$499$5,988
3$1,497$17,964
10$4,990$59,880
20$9,980$119,760

These figures multiply the published starting fee. They exclude salary, employer charges, benefits, deposits, currency conversion and other employment costs. The 12-month column assumes an unchanged monthly fee; it is not an annual-plan offer. We have not verified a fixed public annual EOR rate, so the calculator shows “Quote needed” for annual billing.

Six questions for your first quote call

  1. Country and role: can you support this job, work location and employment arrangement, and which entity will employ the person?
  2. Small-team minimums: can we start with one employee, and is there a minimum invoice, headcount or contract period?
  3. Recurring charges: what is the EOR fee for this hire, what services does it include, and what can be charged separately?
  4. Upfront cash: what salary funding, employer charges, benefits and deposits are due before the start date?
  5. Payroll and currency: what are the funding deadlines, payment currencies, exchange-rate method and escalation route for a payroll issue?
  6. Changes and exit: how do a cancelled start, salary change or employee departure affect the service agreement and final invoice?

Compare proposals with the same assumptions

Keep the country, role, gross salary, benefits, headcount and start date identical across requests. Separate the recurring service fee from employment costs and refundable deposits. For a three-person team, a $100 per-person monthly fee difference is $3,600 over 12 months; compare that difference with any separate charges and the service requirements you actually need.

If a quote leaves a cost or responsibility unanswered, mark it as unresolved and ask the provider. Use the country checklist to organize the conversation, without assuming that a general coverage claim confirms your specific hire.

Prepare a consistent quote request

Choose your hiring country and employee count, then copy the generated brief into the provider’s official quote form.
